RESEARCH INTERESTS
My research investigates psychological states through a multifaceted approach, encompassing the following key objectives:
1) Understanding the fundamental neurobiological mechanisms underpinning these states.
2) Identifying quantifiable biomarkers that serve as indicators of these psychological states.
3) Developing and employing biomarker-based models for the continuous monitoring and prediction of psychological states.
4) Exploring the potential for leveraging these biomarkers to influence psychological states.
5) Applying these biomarkers to practical, real-world contexts.
To this end, my research draws from established cognitive neuroscience methodologies, encompassing psychometric assessments, computerised testing, and neuro/physiological data. Additionally, I employ both classical frequentist and Bayesian statistical models to rigorously test hypotheses. Furthermore, I incorporate computational modelling techniques and contemporary data-driven approaches, including machine learning and deep learning, to uncover complex relationships within the data.
